Iguala, one year on

On 26 September it was the first anniversary of the kidnap and presumed murder of 43 student teachers in Iguala, Guerrero state, in what has become an emblematic case of gross human rights violations in Mexico, as well as being what some observers describe as a “defining moment” (in the negative sense) for the Presidency of Enrique Peña Nieto.
