Development: On 1 June Haiti’s private sector lobby, Forum Economique du Secteur Privé (Fesp), hailed the “courage” of the verification commission (Cieve) tasked with evaluating and verifying the 25 October 2015 first-round general election results and which presented its report on 30 May calling for the first-round elections to be scrapped and restaged due to widespread fraud and irregularities.
