The supreme court of Mexico’s Nuevo Leon state will decide whether to uphold the embezzlement and fraud charges made against the former governor, Rodrigo Medina de la Cruz (2009-2015). Nuevo León public prosecutors presented the charges against Medina based on investigations into irregularities in the granting of a tax incentive package benefiting South Korean car manufacturer, Kia Motors, for the construction of a new assembly plant in the state.
