From 26 to 28 October, Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto, embarked on an official state visit to Colombia, at the invitation of counterpart President Juan Manual Santos. The visit came ahead of Peña Nieto’s attendance at the XXV Ibero-American heads of state summit held in the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias on 28-29 October. During his visit Peña Nieto met with Santos and representatives from Colombia’s legislature and national judiciary with whom he discussed bilateral security and economic cooperation and signed agreements in these areas.
