Given US President Donald Trump’s policy flip-flopping, his difficulty in securing congressional support for planned reforms and overall uncertainty over the White House policy stance, it was unclear whether Trump planned on following through on his 2016 campaign pledges to reverse the changes introduced by Barack Obama with regard to Cuba policy. A speech on June 16th appears to have cleared up any uncertainty, with a number of measures set to unpick some of the legislation passed by Obama.
