Uruguay: The national statistics institute (INE) has released new figures which show that the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.32% in July compared with the previous month and by 5.24% compared with July 2016. The July CPI result brings the cumulative CPI increase since January to 4.66% year-on-year, while prices have increased by 5.24% in the rolling 12-month period, the lowest increase since 2005. Compared with June, the sectors with greater price in July increases were: leisure and culture (0.96%), health (0.88%), and restaurants and hotels (0.82%).
