Guatemala’s Morales a step closer to losing immunity
Development: On 10 September, a five-member congressional investigating committee recommended that Guatemala’s President Jimmy Morales be stripped of his immunity from prosecution so that he can be investigated for illicit campaign financing by the ruling Frente de Convergencia Nacional (FCN-Nación) party in the 2015 general election.
