Paraguay: According to figures from the national food safety and animal health authority (Senacsa), the country’s beef exports in January-August reached 170,837 tonnes (t) and a value of US$727.27m, a 3.2% increase in volume and a 15.51% increase in value compared to the same period last year. The data indicates that, during this period, Paraguayan beef has been exported to a total of 51 countries, of which there are four main markets accounting for 75% of the total volume shipped - Chile (40%), Russia (19%), Brazil (10%), and Israel (6%).
