* Brazilian police have seized almost a tonne of marijuana in the Nova Holanda neighbourhood in the Complexo de Maré favela, located in the northern zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Police raided the area to search for wanted drug trafficker Rogério ‘157’ Avelino da Silva, the leader of Rio de Janeiro-based drugs trafficking organisation Amigo dos Amigos (ADA).
