Mexico: The angry Mexico scenario

How will currently tense Mexico-US bilateral relations evolve over the next 18 months? There are certainly a lot of issues to tackle, from the potential repeal of DACA legislation, the large scale deportation of Mexicans from the US, President Trump’s proposed border wall, and the renegotiation of NAFTA. Increasing the pressure, Mexico holds presidential elections in just over nine months’ time. A number of observers say a strong nationalist and anti-Trump backlash could be in the making. If so, what would an ‘angry Mexico’ scenario look like?
