BAHAMAS | Mixed news on crime. As of mid-September, the number of murders in The Bahamas was up 41% on last year, with 103 killings so far in 2017. Twenty-fifteen was the worst on record for murders, with a total for the year of 146. This was reduced to 111 in 2016, a fall of 23%, but that improvement now seems to have been reversed.
