In brief: Brazil

* Inflation in Brazil rose to 2.71% in the 12-months through to October, up from the 2.56% registered in the 12-months through to September according to Brazil’s national statistics agency, IBGE. This marks the first acceleration of inflation recorded since August 2016. However, the result for October still falls within the 2017 annual inflation target of 4.5% set by Brazil’s central bank (BCB).
