COSTA RICA: Chinchilla tables key security plan

President Laura Chinchilla has announced a new 10-year plan to tackle crime head on and improve public security in Costa Rica. They each signed up to the policy recommendations of a report dubbed Polsepaz (Integral and Sustainable Policy for Citizen Security and Promotion of Social Peace), which was drawn up with the assistance of the UN Development Programme after extensive public consultation.
