HONDURAS: Congress restructures state with huge reforms

Remove restrictions on referendums on re-election. Tick. Carry out sweeping reform of the judiciary. Tick. Grant approval for two autonomous 'Model Cities'. Tick. Congress achieved almost as much on one day on 17 February as many constituent assemblies in the region have managed in one year. The comparison is apt because there are real doubts as to whether all of its reforms were constitutional or even democratic.
