Mexico’s Anaya closes in on presidential candidacy

Development: On 9 December, the president of Mexico's right-wing opposition Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) party, Ricardo Anaya, stepped down from his post to seek the presidential candidacy of the electoral coalition formed between his party, the left-wing Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD), and the leftist Movimiento Ciudadano (MC).
