CHILE | Growth back on track. The economy grew by 5.2% in 2010 year-on-year, recovering from a recession in 2009 and a serious earthquake in February 2010, the central bank announced. Domestic demand grew by 16.4%. Chile posted a current account surplus of US$3.8bn in 2010, or 1.9% of GDP, partly as a result of an improved trade surplus of US$15.86bn, up 12% on 2009.
