The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (Unodc) has just awarded Argentina’s crime statistics the highest quality rating. This marks a remarkable turnaround, given that until last year Undoc gave Argentina’s crime statistics a poor rating, considering them to be deficient and inaccurate. The new rating is recognition to the work carried out by the Argentine government in recent years to improve its gathering and reporting of crime data.
