* According to the Colombo-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), certain Colombian exports are benefitting from the trade war between the US and China. As reported in national daily
El Tiempo, AmCham found that although Colombian steel exports to the US have decreased since the imposition of a 25% import tariffs, other exports have increased, due to there being tariffs on Chinese-manufactured products only. Colombian products which have seen an increase in exports to the US include plastic resins such as polypropylene and propylene copolymer, as well as dielectric transformers.
