* Mexico’s state-owned oil firm Pemex has announced that it has successfully drilled two new wells at its 'Ixachi' oil and gas field and now expects its proven, probable and possible (3P) reserves to be equivalent to over 1bn barrels of oil. According to a press release, Pemex expects the field, which is located in the municipality of Tierra Blanca, Veracruz state, to reach 80,000 barrels a day of condensate production and over 700m cubic feet per day of gas production by 2022. Pemex described the discovery as the most important onshore field of the last 25 years in the country and the fourth biggest of the last decade, globally.
