Paraguay: Country shaken by in-prison murder

On 19 November Brazilian drug trafficker Marcelo ‘Piloto’ Pinheiro Veiga was expelled from Paraguay on presidential orders. President Mario Abdo Benítez took this decision two days after Pinheiro murdered a young woman inside his prison cell in Asunción, in an apparent attempt to avoid extradition to Brazil.
