The new mines & energy minister, Bento Albuquerque, evoked the privatisation of the state-run electricity firm Eletrobras at his swearing in ceremony yesterday also. The São Paulo stock exchange rose 3.56% yesterday following the investiture of President Jair Bolsonaro on 1 January, and its Ibovespa index began the year with a record high of 91,012 points.
