* In an interview with Bolivia’s state media Abi, Hydrocarbons Minister Luis Alberto Sánchez has revealed that the government led by President Evo Morales plans to begin drilling 17 exploratory wells in the departments of Chuquisaca, Tarija, Santa Cruz, Pando, Beni, and La Paz in 2019. Sánchez stated that the areas where the drilling will take palce have the potential to hold at least 13trn cubic feet (TCF) of gas. He noted that the drilling of these new wells followed four years of intense exploration through seismic and modern prospecting techniques.
