* According to Mexico’s official news agency, Notimex, Mexico’s tequila 2018 exports exceeded the 2017 total by 5.5%, closing at 222.7m litres. In terms of production, the figure reached 309.1m litres, up 13.9% on 2017 (and historically second only to 2008, when 312m litres of tequila had been produced). As regards markets, the US accounted for 82.5% of sales, followed by Germany, Spain, France, and the UK.
