* Brazil’s economy minister, Paulo Guedes, said that he will look to lower business income tax in Brazil from an average of 34% to 15%, as a way of attracting more foreign investment. Guedes announced this at the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos, Switzerland, where he also indicated that he would like to begin Brazil’s application process to join the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as soon as possible.
