The economic and political crisis in Venezuela has pushed 3m Venezuelans to leave the country. Driven by this significant migration event, the Venezuela-Colombia border has become a centre of operations for criminal organisations which have established networks for human trafficking, sexual abuse, and exploitation. Venezuelan women and children find themselves being exploiting in Colombia and abroad.
