* Brazil’s national association of automotive manufacturers (Anfavea) has released figures which show that 455,300 vehicles were produced in Brazil from January-February 2019, a 5.3% increase on the number of vehicles produced during the first two months of 2018. Monthly production in February increased by 29.9% compared with January, with 257,200 units produced. Exports from January-February 2019 have fallen, however, by 41.9% compared with January-February 2018, a reflection of the negative situation in Argentina, the principal export destination for Brazilian vehicles.
