In brief: Peru

* Peru’s national statistics institute (Inei) has released its latest figures for the national consumer price index (CPI), which show that monthly inflation stood at 0.68% in March 2019, totalling an accumulated 0.88% in the first quarter of the year. Inflation in the 12 months to March 2019 stood at 2.4%. The CPI for the Lima Metropolitan area increased 0.92% during the first quarter of 2019, bringing inflation to an accumulated 2.25% in the 12 months to March 2019.
