* Foreign tourists in Mexico spent US$7bn (M$123bn) in January-March, according to new figures released by Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi). This marks an increase of US$803m compared with the same period in 2018. This figure includes all goods and services consumed and related to any visit to the country. Tourism remains Mexico’s third largest source of foreign reserves after automotive exports and remittances.
