Mexico’s GDP results disappoint

Mexico’s GDP expanded by 1.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, according to figures released by the national statistics institute (Inegi). But in a setback for the government led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, GDP contracted by 0.2% in the first quarter of 2019 compared with the final quarter of 2018.
