In brief: Uruguay

* Uruguay XXI, the national export promotion agency, has released new figures which show that the country’s exports totalled US$850m in May, down 2.2% year-on-year. The decline is mainly attributed to a drop in exports of live cattle, wood and wood products, and cellulose. In contrast, meat, dairy products, barley, and meat by-products performed well.
