The revisions to the policies include two additional axes - to strengthen the environmental and social sustainability framework and to improve the regulation, auditing, and control of mining activities at the national level. The event to announce the updated policy was attended by Vice President
Otto Sonnenholzer and various representatives from local and national authorities, mining entrepreneurs, and other sectors.
