Region: Transnational crime in the tri-border area

The launch of a tripartite cooperation initiative against drugs trafficking between neighbours Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay got off to a bad start, when fog prevented Paraguay’s President Mario Abdo Benítez and Argentina’s Security Minister Patricia Bullrich from flying to the Paraguayan border town of Pedro Juan Caballero in time to meet Sérgio Moro, Brazil’s justice & public security minister, on 3 June.
