Talks between representatives of the de facto government led by Nicolás Maduro and opposition figurehead Juan Guaidó resumed in Barbados this week. Precisely what is being discussed has not been revealed but, for as much as a huge gulf separates the two sides, their most public disagreement at present is over the duration of the negotiations.
