Iván Acosta; the presidential advisor for production and trade,
Francisco López; and advisor to the presidency for investments,
Laureano Ortega Murillo (President
Daniel Ortega’s son). During their first meeting on 10 August with Iran’s foreign minister
Mohammad Javad Zarif the delegates discussed areas of interest to
“enhance trade between the two countries, in fields such as food, energy, finance, medicine and technology”. They also met with Iran’s finance minister
Farhad Dejpasand, with whom an agreement has been signed for the
“promotion and reciprocal protection of investments”.
