* Brazil’s federal government has concluded the auction on the lease of three port terminals, two in the port of Santos (São Paulo state) and one in the port of Paranaguá (Paraná state), for which it will receive a total R$148.5m (US$37.47m). Of this total, R$37.13m will be received on the commencement of the contracts and the remainder will be paid in five annual instalments. Logistics operator Hidrovias do Brasil acquired one of the terminals in Santos for R$112.5m, and infrastructure and logistics company Aba Infra Estrutura e Logística acquired the second terminal in Santos for R$35m.
