President Juan Orlando Hernández is again on the defensive over drug-related allegations. A document unsealed by the New York City District Court on 2 August as part of the trial of his brother Juan Antonio ‘Tony’ Hernández, charged with drug trafficking in November 2018, allege the conservative Partido Nacional (PN) government received US$1.5m in drug-trafficking proceeds to secure Hernández’s 2013 election.
