UK Foreign Secretary visits Mexico. The UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab visited Mexico on 8 August, “to talk about opportunities for the future”, ahead of the UK’s exit from the European Union (Brexit) scheduled for 31 October. The visit by Raab, who only assumed office on 24 July, came after he attended the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit in Thailand on 31 July, and formed part of a North American tour that also took in Canada and the US in search of new business opportunities and the shoring up of political ties in preparation for Brexit.
