Augusto Saá, during a visit by Crellin to Ecuador, the parties announced that negotiations regarding the signing of a double taxation avoidance agreement would begin in October. The two parties also discussed the possibility of establishing a new treaty to protect and promote investments with the aim of encouraging UK investment in Ecuador.
