In brief: Nestlé to invest R$1bn in Brazil’s São Paulo state

* João Doria, governor of São Paulo state, in a press conference attended by Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider, confirmed that São Paulo state will receive R$1bn (US$245.7m) in investment over the next three years from the Swiss multinational food and beverage company. The investment will focus on industrial units, technology, and the launching of new products. According to Doria, Nestlé will also develop projects to “contribute towards the increase in employability of the young people in our state”.
