ARGENTINA: The case for Macri

It does not look good for Argentina’s President Mauricio Macri ahead of the first round of presidential elections on 27 October. His ruling right-of-centre Cambiemos coalition was defeated in the primary elections earlier this month, the economic and foreign currency crisis is continuing, and there are fears of a debt default. For some, though, it is not yet ‘game over’.
