In brief: Argentine gov’t to increase public spending by Ar$24.79bn

* Argentina’s official gazette has published government administrative decision 732/2019 which stipulates that public spending will be increased by ArS$24.79bn (US$427m) this year, in order to finance social spending and pensions. The public spending increase coincides with attempts to restructure Argentina's national debt. Finance minister Hernán Lacunza noted: “The government is aiming to clear the outlook for the financial programme in the short, medium and long term”.
