Martha Delgado has confirmed that the United Nations agency for human settlements, UN-Habitat, will accompany strategic projects promoted by the federal government led by President
Andrés Manuel López Obrador. These include his flagship ‘Tren Maya’, a M$150bn (US$7.3bn), 1,525km railway line across Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Quintana Roo, and Yucatán states. Delgado made the announcement during World Habitat Day, a UN-designated day to reflect on the state of towns and cities, which is being hosted by Mexico.
