In brief: Bolivia annuls joint lithium project
* Bolivia has repealed supreme decree 3738 which had established the creation of a joint company comprising Bolivian state-owned firm Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) and the German company ACI Systems Alemania GmbH (ACISA) to industrialise lithium in the country. The government’s decision follows an indefinite strike by the Comité Cívico Potosinista (Comcipo), a civil-society group in Bolivia's Potosí department, which began last month demanding more royalties for the exploitation of lithium and the defence of natural resources.
