* Governors from Brazil’s eight Nordeste states, who form an alliance for regional development known as the 'Consórcio Nordeste', have wrapped up a five-day visit to France, Italy, and Germany, during which they were seeking investment partners and increased cooperation, particularly for regional sanitation infrastructure projects. Their agenda in Germany included meetings with representatives from Germany's economy ministry, economic cooperation & development ministry (BMZ), and education & research ministry.
Volker Oel, Latin America director at the BMZ, expressed Germany’s specific interest in cooperating with the Consórcio on efforts for environmental protection and in the development of renewable energy sources.
