In brief: Unemployment falls to 11.6% in Brazil
* Brazil’s national statistics institute (Ibge) has released the latest figures for unemployment, which show that unemployment in the period August to October 2019 has fallen to 11.6%, down from 11.8% in May-July 2019. A total 12.4m people remain affected by unemployment. Underemployment stands at 23.8% in August-October, down from 24.6% in the previous three-month period.
