VENEZUELA: Opposition deputies suspended over corruption allegations

On 1 December, Venezuela’s widely recognised interim president Juan Guaidó announced the suspension of 11 deputies from the opposition-controlled national assembly (AN), after they were accused of collusion with Colombian businessmen involved in a Venezuelan food import subsidy programme.
