In brief: Grupo México announces US$250m investment in windfarm
* The infrastructure branch of infrastructure, mining and transport firm Grupo México has announced a US$250m investment in the Fenicias windfarm, in the state of Nuevo León. The project will have a production capacity of 168 megawatts (MW) of wind energy, generating over 680,000 megawatt-hours (Mwh) a year. The windfarm will link up with the national electricity system through the construction of a transmission line of over 60km and will begin operating at the start of 2021.
