ARGENTINA: Fernández takes aim at judges

Former president (2007-2015) and soon-to-be Vice-President Cristina Fernández appeared in a Buenos Aires court on 2 December in one of the many corruption cases against her. She was defiant, accusing the judges of political persecution orchestrated by the outgoing administration. The incoming government of Alberto Fernández, due to take office on 10 December, is already talking about a new round of judicial reforms. The ‘Cristina factor’ could loom large.
