* The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has announced the approval of US$600m to improve productivity of smaller companies (EMT) in Colombia through financing channelled by Bancóldex, Colombia’s enterprise development bank. The IDB has also approved a first operation of US$60m under this line of credit, to scale the financing of EMT investments in energy efficiency projects and contribute to the creation of a financing market for EMTs in the 'orange economy'. The IDB loan has a repayment term of 25 years, a grace period of 5.5 years, an interest rate based on Libor, and it has a local counterpart of US$30m.
