In brief: Peru has received PEN712m so far in Odebrecht compensation

* Peru’s attorney general’s office has revealed that so far compensation paid out in relation to the Lavo Jato bribery investigations by Brazilian construction firm Odebrecht amounts to PEN712m (US$212m). This includes PEN65m in relation to the Chacas-San Luis highway project; PEN80m of a total PEN610m due in relation to Interoceánica Sur highway, line 1 of the Lima metro, and two roads Costa Verde Callao and Evitamiento Cusco; and PEN567m to the national tax administration and customs agency (SUNAT).
